The National Trust (NSW) Heritage Awards Winners Booklet stated:

“This digital publication documents more than 180 timber houses built in Australia between 1788 and 1850, offering rare insight into early construction. Drawing on their decades of conservation work, the authors undertook extensive research and site visits, creating a richly contextualised architectural record, available at hawkesburysettlement.com.”

“Judges comments: A phenomenal research effort that has demonstrated amazing commitment. Packed with detailed photography and descriptions, this is a very valuable resource that is completely accessible.”
