In partnership with Christchurch Archaeology Project, it is my pleasure to promote this year’s Ian Smith Memorial Lecture (May 7 during Archaeology Week) which will be given by Associate Professor James Flexner, University of Sydney (flyer attached – feel free to share). His talk is entitled, A household mission and a mission of houses: comparative historical archaeology in Oceania.

Similar to last year, it will be held at Hutton Theatre, Tūhura Otago Museum thanks to their continued generous support of this lecture series. If you can’t make it in person, Zooming in will be an option (link is obtainable upon registration). Everyone interested (whether in person or online) is required please to register here or use the link on the flyer: https://otago.zoom.us/meeting/register/HxdeISmmS1S3NQjEj9IsGQ#/registration)
