Preserving the people, traditions and heritage that helped build the Bathurst region.

Bathurst will celebrate its rich history, paying homage to the trades and traditions that have helped shape the region, at the return of the annual Bathurst Heritage Trades Trail in April 2025 at the iconic Bathurst Showground.

Rare and lost trades and crafts will be showcased over the weekend at Australia’s oldest inland European settlement. Traditional Aboriginal tool and weapon making, blacksmithing, saddlery, dry stone walling, whip cracking and making, glass artistry, lace making, tapestry, embroidery, carpentry and joinery, coopering, knife making and violin making are among many unique talents to be demonstrated by local and guest artisans.

You can even take a ride on an authentic restored Cobb & Co Coach!

Take the free hop-on hop-off shuttle bus from the Bathurst Showground or self drive to visit a selection of the best museums and heritage houses in Bathurst who are offering 50% off entry to all Heritage Trades Trail ticket holders. Onsite parking available, gold coin donation to the Lions Club parking volunteers.
