The Sydney Restoration Company is a boutique building company established in 2000. We take pleasure in the abundant scope of conservation works found in Sydney’s many heritage buildings. We work largely in accordance with the Burra Charter and are guided by a clear philosophy: to retain and protect as much of the original building fabric as possible.
With experience in heritage work dating back to the 1980s, our team brings a thoughtful, highly skilled, hands-on approach to every project. Every project we undertake is treated with care and respect - for the structure, its history, and the people who use it.
Our services cover the full scope of conservation, preservation and restoration, from early assessments, condition reports and planning to hands-on conservation and remedial works. This includes consulting and physical restoration works and detailed joinery.
Whether a beautiful home or a public building, we will always strive for excellence in every undertaking. We work closely with clients, architects, and conservation professionals to ensure each restoration is not only compliant but also true to the character and story of the building. Open and honest communication is central to how we operate, and we see our role as both builders and careful custodians of Australia’s built heritage.
At the heart of everything we do is a genuine respect for detail, craftsmanship, and collaboration.
We feel privileged to contribute to the conservation of Sydney’s architectural heritage and are proud to play a small part in keeping these important buildings alive for future generations.
