BY Projects Architecture
This directory lists heritage-related businesses and services nationwide. It is searchable, with suppliers organised into several relatable categories for your convenience.
BY Projects Architecture is a Melbourne-based residential practice led by Barbara Yerondais (FAIA), specialising in heritage restoration, sustainable design, and community housing. With over 35 years of experience and more than 400 projects delivered across Victoria, including 59 heritage overlays and 235+ social housing dwellings, the practice brings deep expertise in navigating complex council planning processes, heritage conservation requirements, and building science.
BY Projects operates on a fixed-fee model, offering clients cost certainty from the drafting table through to completion. The practice is known for its collaborative and honest approach, designing homes that are liveable, sustainable, and built to endure, not to impress a magazine cover. Whether it's a heritage rear extension, a second-storey addition, or adaptive reuse of a heritage building, BY Projects brings the intellectual rigour and warmth to get it right.
